OSBA Game of the Week Postgame Notes | Redmond Basketball vs. Excel Hoops Prep W 12/7

In their first matchup of the season Excel Hoops emerged victorious over Redmond Basketball 71-46. Excel Hoops improves to 7-2 while Redmond Basketball falls to 3-5. 

Excel Hoops played well on the defensive end. They came out with a full court press. Which pressured Redmond’s ball handlers which led to turnover after turnover and made it hard for Redmond to find a groove. 

Redmond’s defence picked up in the second half. Holding Excel Hoops to 31 points after they scored 40 in the first half. 

Excel Hoops offensive rebounding was another key part of their attack. Getting multiple second chance points and more shot attempts than Redmond. 

Redmond Basketball is now on a four-game losing streak and will look to bounce back in their next game against Essa Prep on December 12th. 

Excel’s Hoops Chante Murray unfortunately had to leave the game with an injury in the third quarter. 

Redmond Basketball Isabella Xenophotos scored 8 points which was tied for the team high. With her teammates Stephanie Galikowski  and Jessica Fuerte both scoring 8 points as well. 

Excel Hoops Simran Lail dropped 19 points which was tied for the team high with Silvana Maldonado who also had 19 points. 

Redmond Basketball next game is Tuesday December 12th with Essa Prep coming to them. The game is at 3:45 PM.

Excel Hoops next game is Tuesday December 12th at King Heights at 5:30 PM
