GAME RECAP: Crestwood Prep vs Ridley College
This was a game of two massively different halves. The first quarter was back and forth with Ridley College getting an early one-point lead. Crestwood pressured Ridley's ball handlers and got turnovers and offensively they were getting two feet in the paint and finishing or getting to the line.
Ridley tightened up their ball handling after a timeout Caleb Roberts did a great job of attacking Crestwood zone He was able to get into the middle of the floor and finish inside or dish the ball back out to shooters.
The second quarter was again back and forth with both teams playing to their strengths. Crestwood was lighting it up from three point land knocking down multiple threes. On the other side, Ridley was attacking the paint and the glass getting multiple second chances. Heading into the half the score was close 41 - 37 Crestwood.
The third quarter was when things started to change for both teams. Ridley's William Robinson was on fire to start the third knocking down two quick threes. For Crestwood, it was rough sailing, committing offensive foul after offensive foul. But as the quarter went on Crestwood cleaned it up and started to get to the rim and finish like they did in the first half.
And despite William going for 10 points in the third and Crestwoods foul trouble Crestwood built their lead up to 7 59 - 52 entering the fourth.
In the fourth quarter, Crestwood upped their energy and started to run away with the game. It didn't help that Ridley's William Robinson who was cooking on offense and locking up on the other end took a hard fall with 8 minutes to go in the fourth and had to check out as he was shaken up. He did check back into the game but you could tell he was playing a little hurt. Crestwood built and built on the lead and ended the game comfortably 76 CWP - 65 RC.
Crestwood snapped a two game losing streak with this win and are now 3-6.
Ridley College have had a tough stretch losing four in a row after this one and are now 2-5.
