OSBA to expand with Challenge Series and Junior Series

The OSBA has announced two new avenues for prep and traditional high school participation for both male and female players

2018-19 OSBA TEAM PREVIEWS

3 POINTS

1. The Central Tech Blues are ready to make a splash in their inaugural season in the OSBA. The Blues are among five new members in the growing women’s division this year. 

2. The Blues are known as a hard-nosed defensive team that feeds off of turnovers from their opponents to sparks their up-tempo style of play.

3. The Blues have ambitious goals to win the central division and be among the final four in their OSBA debut year.

 

WOMEN ON THE SPOT

Lauren Rainford brings OSBA championship level experience to the Blues roster after playing last season with the champion Lincoln Prep Huskies. She is known for her level of professionalism and strong work ethic that will be contagious with her new teammates. 

Marley Bonnick is a veteran on the Blues that brings a mixture of strength and finesse. Bonnick will be a leader on and off the court for the squad. Her ability to rebound and dribble out of pressure will be needed for the Blues to be successful this season. 

 

BOTTOM LINE

The Central Tech Blues are entering their first season looking to make a statement to all the OSBA teams. Key addition Lauren Rainford will be vital to the Blues as she knows what it takes to win at the OSBA level. The Blues are excited to be among the strongest teams in the province and it will be interesting to find out the type of impact Central Tech will have on the league.
