Kobe Elvis is a 6’2’’ athletic point guard that offers great leadership, and three-point shooting for the Forest. The floor general will be a key factor in Southwest’s pursuit in qualifying for the post-season.

Cole Newton is a 6’3’’ guard with a high IQ on the floor, and provides a threat from the outside with his smooth shot. He will be one of the key veteran player to provide leadership for the young squad with playoff ambitions.

BOTTOM LINE

Southwest enters their third season in the OSBA with post-season expectations. The Forest understand that the quality of competition in the league means preparation, execution and performance every game will be critical with no easy games on the schedule. Coach Barnes will rely heavily on his standout players Kobe Elvis and Cole Newton to carry the offence. However, the Forest are hopeful on first year players Taye Donald, Kymahni Bent, Hendrik Stam, Koch Agok, and Logan Cheyne to provide an immediate impact on the upcoming season.
