1. Last season, the Colts finished with a record of 10-8 (win-loss) and a fifth place finish in the OSBA standings.
2. The Colts have one of the most versatile rosters in the league with a good mixture of athleticism, length and size at all positions. Coach Jodi Gram will be able to mix up defensive schemes to put pressure on opponents and force turnovers to jumpstart start their up-tempo style of play.
3. After a disappointing exit in the first-round of the OSBA Playoffs last season, the Colts are looking to improve as a team throughout the 2018-19 campaign with the goal of playing their best basketball going into the playoffs.
WOMEN ON THE SPOT
Ahriahna Grizzle is one of elite point guards in the league that brings great leadership on the court. Grizzle is known for her high basketball IQ to make the right decisions in high-pressure situations.
Callie Wright provides an inside presence for the squad with her tenacious rebounding, while being effective inside and outside the paint on both sides of the ball.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Bill Crothers goes into this season with expectations to continue to grow as a program and become a legitimate contender for the 2018-19 OSBA title. The versatile roster gives Bill Crothers all the tools to take the next step this year, but they will need to become more consistent to find success in a tough women’s division.
