Lo-Ellen Park Prep (Women)

1. Lo-Ellen Park Prep are entering their inaugural season in the OSBA. The Knights are one of five new teams to joining the league in the women’s division.
2. The Knights are back-to-back OFSAA Girls' A Basketball bronze medalists in 2016 and 2017. The team is comprised primarily of returning players, with the new additions of Kyanna Thompson and Aneisha Rismond.
3. The newest member of the league is from Sudbury, Ontario and with expansion Lo-Ellen Park Prep becomes the first Northern Ontario school to join the OSBA.
WOMEN ON THE SPOT
Emilie Lafond is a 6’3” Centre with a strong inside presence on both ends of the court. Lafond is known for her variety of moves in the low-post and soft hands around the basket.
Delaney Bourget is a 5’9” sharpshooting point guard with great leadership, court sense and the ability to set up her teammates for easy baskets. Bourget will need to be steady for the Knights throughout the season competing against Ontario’s top talent.
THE BOTTOM LINE
The Lo-Ellen Park Prep Knights are entering their first season and looking to compete every game with Ontario’s best teams in the OSBA. The Knights are comprised primarily of members of their 2017 OFSAA bronze medalist squad, but have added new recruits Kyanna Thompson and Aneisha Rismond to the roster. The team from Sudbury have proven they can compete with the best schools in Southern Ontario in OFSAA, but joining the OSBA provides a new set of challenges. The Knights are looking to build a strong foundation for their program and for their new future as part of the OSBA.
