Canada Basketball announced the 14 men selected to the U16 Men’s National Team that will represent the nation at the FIBA U16 Americas Championship in Formosa, Argentina beginning June 14. Of the nine athletes selected from Ontario, seven are from the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA).

These seven players join fellow Ontario athletes Charles Bediako and Matteus Case.
The team will continue training in Toronto until June 9. They will then head to Argentina for pre-tournament training prior to tipping off the tournament against the host nation on June 14. The tournament runs from June 14-18.
Canada is currently ranked third in the FIBA Men’s Youth Rankings. The team will look to qualify for its fifth consecutive U17 FIBA World Championship.
