All first-round tryouts have been completed.

2nd round tryouts are invitation only, and all athletes have been advised of their selection status.

Ontario Basketball is pleased to share the first tryout details for 2023 U15 & U17 Team Ontario.

Team Ontario squads will compete in 2023 Canada Basketball National Championships. The 2023 Boys Nationals will be hosted in Sherbrooke, Quebec and the Girls Nationals in Calgary, Alberta. Both tournaments will take place July 31-August 5, 2023.

Below are confirmed details for April tryouts. Pre-registration via links below is encouraged. Check in at each location will begin 30 minutes prior to the start of each tryout.

We have partnered with key programs in different areas of the province to allow for greater access to the opportunity for athletes. Registration is now open; the cost to attend a session is $30.00 capacity is limited at each session for safety of the athletes. 

First round tryouts will be held in the following Regions:

• Greater Toronto/Horseshoe Areas – Humber College, North Campus – April 12 - All Cohorts - April 25 - Girls only
• Southern Ontario – Windsor – University of Windsor – Boys – April 14; Girl's April 17
• Eastern Ontario – Ottawa – Carleton University – April 16 South Grenville DHS - Apr 29 (U15 girls and boys only)
• Northern Ontario –
  • Sault Ste. Marie – St. Basil Catholic School – April 16
  • Sudbury - Lo-Ellen Park - April 18
• Central Ontario – Kitchener/Waterloo – University of Waterloo – April 15 Girls and Boys on April 16

We highly encourage pre-registration online to avoid disappointment if capacity is reached. Register on TeamSnap here.

Additional sessions will be added to accommodate a waitlist of 10 or more athletes.

Key notes:

• A clear photo of your government ID is required.
• Processing fees are additional cost.
• We will accept payment by cash or cheque; your spot is not guaranteed until payment is received.
• As locations fill up, the registration form will only display those areas that are available with a waitlist option.
• Once your registration is complete, you will receive a general trigger from TeamSnap.
• Within 24 hours you will receive a secondary email from the High-Performance team at OBA with specific details for your location.
• If your athlete wishes to try out for both U15 and U17 age groups, or attend more than 1 dates, the fee will be applied to EACH session.
• Athletes that are not pre-registered and paid, will be admitted on a first come first-serve basis until capacity is reached.
• Team sponsorship opportunities are available.
