Fort Erie International Academy and Canada Topflight Academy Gold headline historic OSBA x Baseline Productions crossover event
TORONTO, Ont. — The stage is set for a landmark night in Canadian prep basketball. On Saturday, November 1st, the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA) and Baseline Productions will join forces for the first-ever “Battle in the Six”, a marquee crossover event featuring two of the country’s premier programs — Fort Erie International Academy (FEIA) and Canada Topflight Academy Gold (CTA Gold).
Hosted at the historic Mattamy Athletic Centre on the Toronto Metropolitan University campus, this showcase event tips off at 6:30 p.m., with free admission for fans (limited seating available). Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and fans are encouraged to arrive early for what promises to be a high-energy, nationally spotlighted matchup.
A First-of-Its-Kind Collaboration
“Battle in the Six” marks the first official partnership between the OSBA and Baseline Productions, blending elite-level competition with premium event production. The live event will be produced by Baseline Productions, while the livestream broadcast will be powered by SportsCanadaTV on OSBA TV’s YouTube channel, delivering professional-quality coverage from every angle.
Bringing the action to life on the mic will be a dynamic broadcast team — JJ Evason handling play-by-play duties, Ishaan Thandi providing analysis as colour commentator, and Hailey Hopkinson reporting from courtside with in-game updates and post-game interviews.
The Matchup: Speed, Skill, and Star Power
Both teams come into the matchup in strong form and full of confidence.
Fort Erie International Academy (3–1) enters off a dominant 104–82 win over Hodan Prep in last week’s OSBA Game of the Week — a statement victory that showcased the depth and explosiveness of Head Coach Kemy Osse’s roster. Leading the charge was Eli Jolin, who erupted for 34 points, controlling the tempo on both ends of the floor. Backcourt leader Promis N’landu continues to be a spark plug offensively, while forward Deng Ngor provides FEIA with size, athleticism, and defensive toughness in the paint.
For Canada Topflight Academy Gold (3–0), Head Coach Tony House has his group firing on all cylinders after three decisive OSBA wins — an 84–68 win over William Academy, 104–97 over Inspire Academy, and 85–69 over Cambridge International Academy. CTA Gold’s balanced scoring attack is led by Anthony Nnajiofor and Michael Aghomon, a dynamic duo that combines physicality with finesse. Their ability to stretch the floor and pressure defenders off the dribble has made CTA one of the most complete teams in the league.
Storylines to Watch
-A Clash of Styles: FEIA thrives in the open court, pushing tempo and forcing turnovers, while CTA Gold’s precision half-court execution will test their discipline defensively.
-Scoring Depth: Both teams boast multiple players capable of going off for 20+ points on any night — making this a potential shootout.
-Bench Impact: Coach Osse’s “next man up” philosophy versus Coach House’s structured rotations could define the flow late in the game.
Fans can experience the energy of “Battle in the Six” live and in person — admission is free, but seating is limited. For those tuning in from home, the game will be streamed live on OSBA TV’s YouTube channel, produced by SportsCanadaTV. Expect full-scale coverage with replays, interviews, and on-site storytelling — the perfect showcase for the OSBA’s elite talent.
