Mission
"To provide elite level training, competition, education and exposure to premier high school basketball student-athletes, and in turn raise the entire basketball environment in Ontario and Canada"

The OSBA is part of an overall shift in Ontario high school aged basketball competition for scholastic teams. The OSBA will govern member programs to ensure compliance as well as administer the championship league. In addition, goals have been set: 1) developing Ontario athletes for post-secondary, national and international competition and 2) increasing the number and quality of Ontario student-athletes competing in Ontario at the Train to Compete (T2C) stage of the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model

Additionally, the goal of OSBA is to identify, develop and support Ontario’s elite T2C student-athletes by sanctioning and supporting the OSBA by ensuring each participating high school is providing world-class education as well as technical and basketball-specific daily training environment, Integrated Support Team (IST) leadership and education to the targeted basketball coaches and student-athletes.
