Lincoln Prep (8-1) keeps their sparkling season shining beating the visiting Caledon Cougars (2-7) by a score of 81-36.

LINCOLN PREP HUSKIES 81 def. CALEDON COUGARS 36

Lincoln jumped out to an 8-0 lead thanks in large part to their defence led by 5-9 G Kaillie Hall (2019) who registered three steals within the first two minutes. The Huskies maintained the intensity with a full-court press leading to more Caledon turnovers and a lead that ballooned to 14-3. After the first, Caledon trailed 18-8 with Andrea Dodig scoring six of her team's eight.

Caledon adjusted to the defensive pressure and was able to beat the full-court zone to score the first few baskets of the second frame and bring the deficit down to 18-12. It was 6-2 F/G Niyah Becker (2018) whose all-around game elevated Lincoln just when Caledon was closing in and pushed the lead back to double-digits 27-16. Becker logged eight first-half points to lead her Huskies to a 32-22 halftime lead.

Lincoln came out strong scoring the first eleven points of the second half to separate themselves with a 43-22 lead. Caledon couldn't muster much more and after a three by Lincoln late in the third their lead had grown to 58-24, outscoring the Cougars 26-2 in the frame. 5-9 G Andrea Dodig (2019) was the lone bright spot for Caledon who scored 16 of her team's 24 to that point, but was matched by Becker's 16 for Lincoln.

Both teams played to the wire and Lincoln finished with a decisive 81-36 win.
