Emanuel Miller brings home gold medal after successful trip with Junior Men’s National Team

Canada won its first gold medal at a FIBA international competition after defeating Italy 79-60 in the finals of the 2017 U19 FIBA Men’s World Cup on July 9 in Cairo, Egypt.

Emanuel Miller (Bill Crothers S.S.) of the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA) was one of the youngest players on this year’s U19 Junior Men’s National Team.

The 6’7 guard from Toronto confirmed his spot as an up-and-coming talent, not only in the province, but in the nation. Miller is currently ranked second in the OSBA Coaches Poll Class of 2019 rankings.

The victory is a tremendous achievement as Canada continues to solidify itself as an international powerhouse in the FIBA men’s youth rankings. The future of Canadian basketball looks bright as it appears to be in good hands.
