Canada Basketball announced the 17 men invited to the U16 Men’s National Team tryouts and training camp this summer. Of the 10 athletes selected from Ontario, eight are from the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA).

These eight players join fellow Ontario athletes Charles Bediako and Matteus Case.
The training camp will run from June 3–9 at Humber College’s Lakeshore Campus. Following training camp, a 12-person roster will be selected to represent Canada at the FIBA U16 Americas Championship in Formosa, Argentina. The tournament begins June 14 and will serve as an opportunity for player development as Canada looks to qualify for the U17 World Championships next year.
Canada is currently ranked third in the FIBA Men’s Youth Rankings.
