Looking to stay in the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association for as long as they can Lincoln Prep Head Coach, Kenold Knight tells OBA,

“OSBA is a credible league for parents and players. Our players were attracted back to OSBA because our success for last year. OSBA is also accommodating of players experiencing the same elite basketball in Canada rather than travelling to the United States.”

Enjoying the first year of their season in OSBA, coach Knight likes the organization and model the OSBA has put together. Focusing on the athletes’ development, OSBA recreates an elite environment to assist in the progress of a student athlete.

“The game is continuing to grow at all levels in Ontario and Canada,” says Knight, “Canada will continue to have an impact on the NBA, and a bigger impact internationally as players begin to see the opportunities that are present here.”

Ready to get back into another season, Knight explains he has some hidden gems on his team to look out for. Kevin Kangu, the 18 year old guard, always carries high amounts of energy on the court especially on defense. Sam Jenkins is a shooting guard who is an elite three-point shooter with high academics.

With a younger team this year, Lincoln Prep feels that they will still be able to compete at a high level. “We’re looking forward to seeing how every team develops throughout the season,” explains Knight, “Players tend to figure out each other’s tendencies and allow for great competition as the season goes along.”
